Opening their wallets for new campus

The capital campaign for Algonquin College's new vision Renaissance Square has exceeded $1 million in pledges. Capital campaign chairman Mark Huckabone provided the update during a town hall meeting in the Algonquin College in the Ottawa Valley cafeteria yesterday.

Student association giving $4 million for new college

Algonquin College has taken a big step towards achieving its plan for a new campus in Pembroke. Adding its support to the initiative, the college's student association announced Friday it is committing $4 million to expanding the new college when it is built to include a gymnasium and fitness centre.

Campbellford Memorial Hospital Surpasses $3.2 Million Fundraising Target

Campbellford Memorial Hospital has achieved its goal of raising $3.2 million – and then some. “Two recent gifts made all the difference,” said Neil Hannam, executive director of Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation. One was the largest bequest the hospital has ever received – $650,000.

Durham College – Wedding Gifts Become Scholarship Fund
Oshawa, Ont. – The
campus of Durham College and the University of Ontario Institute of Technology (UOIT) was transformed on Saturday, August 7 as a popular UOIT staff member held her wedding ceremony and reception on the grounds. In lieu of gifts, guests donated money to an endowment fund for bursaries at the university.
